The Institute of Botany, MSERA actively participates in the Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition (“Caspian Agro”) and 30th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition ("InterFood Azerbaijan")  held at the Baku Expo Center. The main goal of the exhibition is to promote innovations in agriculture, expand international cooperation, and increase access to the world market for local producers. Within the framework of the exhibition, the Institute of Botany presents specimens of wild plants important in the food industry, industrially important products obtained from plants (dyes, bioactive substances, essential oils, etc.), seed samples, a book titled “Forgotten Recipes of Folk Medicine (From the Memories of Western Azerbaijan, Eastern Zangazur and Karabakh Communities)” (in Azerbaijani and English), as well as booklets and brochures with information collected by botanists about more than 100 medicinal plants used in folk medicine and veterinary medicine, as well as for the prevention and treatment of bees and poultry.

Director General of the Institute of Botany, Professor S.J.Ibadullayeva attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition held on May 13.

The exhibition will continue its activities until May 16.
