Director General of the Institute of Botany, MSERA, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva and Scientific Secretary of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Associate Professor Nigar Mursal gizi attended the opening ceremony of the Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW2025).

BCAW 2025 is held in partnership with London Climate Week and aims to continue the momentum created by COP29 and strengthen Baku Climate Week as the premier regional gathering of the climate solutions community.

Following the success of the inaugural Baku Climate Action Week held ahead of COP29 in Azerbaijan, the city will host the second edition of #BCAW2025 from September 29 to October 3, 2025.

It should be noted that climate action weeks organized in various parts of the world have not only breathed new life into international climate diplomacy, but have also necessitated attention to the implementation of climate action at both the local and regional levels.
