Today, Institute of Botany, Public Legal Entity, Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan marks the 22nd anniversary of the death of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Prior to the event, the staff of the Institute visited the Alley of Honors to honor the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

At the event, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country, was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva, General Director of the Institute, delivered a speech highlighting the unparalleled services rendered by the National Leader to the Azerbaijani people and state. She spoke about Heydar Aliyev’s extensive management experience and great rescue mission for the Azerbaijani state and people.

Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Shakir Gasimov, also spoke about the glorious life and multifaceted activities of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as his outstanding contributions to the development of Azerbaijan’s economic, political, military, social, cultural, and other spheres. The professor emphasized that Heydar Aliyev’s ideas are being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
