A memorandum of understanding on cooperation has been signed between the Institute of Botany under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) of the University of Karachi, Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The partnership has been extended for an additional five years.

The memorandum was signed by Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva, Acting Director and Deputy Director of the Institute of Botany, and Professor M. Raza Shah, Director of ICCBS at the University of Karachi.

The memorandum provides for the development of joint scientific projects, the exchange of doctoral students and researchers, the organization of international conferences and symposia, and the exchange of scientific and methodological publications.

Within the framework of the cooperation, joint activities are also planned in areas such as environmental management, biodiversity conservation, and other relevant scientific fields.

It should be noted that the renewed memorandum of cooperation will contribute to the sustainable development of the existing partnership, the strengthening of scientific potential, and the further consolidation of Azerbaijan’s position in the international scientific arena.
