A new book titled “Relict Plants of the Flora of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” has been published through a joint initiative of the Institute of Botany PLE under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan State University. Prepared in both Azerbaijani and English, this publication represents an important step in the study of the region’s rich vegetation.
The authors of the book are Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva and PhD holders in Biology Mursel Seyidov, Elsever Asadov, and Hilal Gasimov. The scientific editors are Academician Tariyel Talibov and Professor Munir Ozturk.
In the book, the authors present comprehensive information on the relict plants of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic’s flora, including their historical development, distribution areas, ecological characteristics, and current status. The publication also covers key aspects such as morphological features, polymorphism, migration processes, and the role of relict plants in the formation of the region’s flora.
