Aygun Baghirova-Alazova, a junior researcher at the Mycology Laboratory of the Institute of Botany PLE under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, participated in a research visit to the Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research in Switzerland.
The visit was carried out within the framework of the international project entitled “Pathogenic Fungi and Oomycetes Associated with Trees in Azerbaijan: Diversity, Distribution, Local Impact, and Potential Threats to European Tree Species.”
The main purpose of the research training was to become familiar with modern laboratory methods, participate in molecular analysis processes, and gain experience for future scientific research. At the same time, during the training period, methods for the molecular study of fungi under laboratory conditions were learned, and practical knowledge and skills in this field were acquired.
