An event dedicated to 28 May – Independence Day was held at the Institute of Botany PLE of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.  

Speaking at the event, Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva, acting Director of the Institute of Botany PLE, stated that the proclamation of the first democratic republic in the Muslim East in 1918 is one of the brightest pages in the history of Azerbaijan’s national statehood, and this remarkable day is celebrated with great respect throughout the country.

The professor emphasized that Azerbaijan, having regained its independence, has today become a strong state with a significant voice and influence in the international arena. It was noted that the state-building policy founded by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev is being successfully continued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, further strengthening the country’s independence, national interests, and international standing.

During the event, professor Ibadullayeva presented certificates of appreciation to a group of the Institute’s young specialists for their active participation in the event entitled “Contemporary Challenges in Urban Green Spaces and Landscape Architecture,” held within the framework of the “WUF13 Urban Expo.”

At the conclusion of the event, Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva congratulated the Institute’s staff on the upcoming Gurban Holiday and 28 May Independence Day, wishing them good health, success, and new achievements in their professional activities.
