• Compilation and updating of the multi-volume “Flora of Azerbaijan”, “Determinant Book of Azerbaijan flora”. Monographic study of different plant species of the flora of Azerbaijan.
  
  
• In-situ and ex-situ study of rare and endangered species of Azerbaijan’s flora, participation in the compilation and updating of the “Red Book of the Republic of Azerbaijan”
  
  
• Study of bioecological and choronological features of higher plants of flora of Azerbaijan.
  
  
• Study of the regularities of the evolution and dynamics of natural flora.
  
  
• Organization of herbarium work, enrichment of the herbarium fund with new collections.
