Presidium of ANAS held a next bureau assembly of the Division of Biological and Medical Sciences (DBMS) on September 21.

     Event attended by Academician-Secretary of the Division, Academician Ahliman Amiraslanov, members of the bureau, heads of scientific institutions and organizations, members of the department, as well as representatives of the Oncological Clinic of the Azerbaijan Medical University.

     In advance, Academician-Secretary of the Division Academician Ahliman Amirlaslanov informed on the issues of agenda.

     The scientist presented to the participants of the event the head of the laboratory of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Professor Tahir Tahirov, who for many years spent fundamental research in the field of oncology.

      Then, Professor T.Tahirov delivered a paper on "Transcription and replication of the human genome".

     There was a broad exchange of views on the report, were responded questions.

     It was decided to hold discussions to develop opportunities for joint cooperation between T.Tahirov and some institutions.

     At the meeting, were held discussions on the merger of the Information and Innovation Department of ANAS Institute of Zoology of and Department of Public Relations, introducing changes in the composition of the Academic Council of ANAS Institute of Physiology after Academician Abdulla Garayev, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the senior researcher of the Institute of Zoology, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Zakaria Mamedov.
