PhD Aydan Zeynalova hold a workshop “The composition and content of phenolic acids in the juice of fruits and flowers of Punica granatum L.” with the organization of Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Botany of ANAS.
A. Zeynalova gave detailed information on the results of the scientific-research works conducted to determine the quality and quantity content of phenolic acids in various parts of the Punica granatum L. species distributed in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
A. Zeynalova noted that the determination of phenolic acids was carried out using a high-performance liquid chromatography method (HPLC). All the phenolic acids identified in the composition of pomegranate juice and lentils have certain pharmacological properties. The results of the research on the determination of the quality and quantity of phenolic acids prove that the ordinary pomegranate is a promising plant for the preparation of both biologically active food supplement, and also a medicinal drugs.
Finally, the lecturer answered the questions in detail.
