ANAS Institute of Zoology held 80th anniversary of the well-known hydrogen scientist

     ANAS Institute of Zoology held 80th anniversary of the well-known hydrogen scientist, head of the Hydrobiology Laboratory of ANAS Institute of Zoology, PhD in Biology Adil Aliyev.

      Director of the Institute, PhD in Physics Elman Yusifov spoke about the life of the scientist, rich scientific creativity. Aliyev was born in 1939 in Sadarak village, Sharur region of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

      In 1972 he received his PhD in biology and in 1994 he elected as associate professor.

       Since 1971, he has been working at the Institute's Hydrobiology Laboratory as a chief laborant, junior scientific worker, senior scientific worker, leading scientific worker, since 2005 has been head of the Laboratory.

       It was noted that, Adil Aliyev is a well-known hydrogenologist on water fauna fauna.

        It was noted that, he is the author of more than 200 scientific articles on the hydrofauna of various water basins in Azerbaijan, 4 collections and 2 translations (the book “Zoology of Invertebrates” and “Ecology of Plankton of the Caspian Sea”). He studied the species composition of the fauna of ciliates (600 species) from natural water bodies of Azerbaijan, described 34 new curiosities of science ciliates, identified important commercial invertebrate species (5-7 species) from water bodies of Azerbaijan and Red Book species (3 species).

         Speakers at the event congratulated the scientist on his 80th univerrsary and wished him success in his research activities.

         In conclusion, the Certificate of Honor of the Institute of Zoology and ANAS Free Trade Union was presented for its long and fruitful activity.
