An article by the vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology academician Irada Huseynova, “Drug addiction is more dangerous than all pandemics” was published in the newspaper “Iki Sahil”.

The article notes that the fight against drug addiction and drug trafficking is one of the most important problems facing our state. Detailed information is also given on some narcotic plants, their diversity, effects on the human body and complications.

The academician said that the institutes of the ANAS Division of Biological and Medical Sciences are working on the preparation of the necessary teaching aids on narcotic plants to use them, as well as posting them on Internet resources.

Having said that the study of drug addiction is included in the thematic plans and projects of the Institute of Physiology named after academician Abdulla Garayev, I.
