At the next meeting of the Scientific Council held at the Institute of Botany of ANAS on October 18, D.Sc., prof. SayyaraIbadullayeva appointed acting director of the Institute by the order of the president of ANAS was introduced to the staff.

Opening the meeting, academician IradaHuseynova, vice-president of ANAS noted that the Institute of Botany has been operating for more than 85 years hasalways been distinguished as one of the leading establishments of the Academy with its scientific achievements and played an important role in the development of botany science and training of scientific personnel. She stated that the activities of the Institute of Botany passing the path of fundamental development during the last years will be successfully continued under prof. S.Ibadullayeva’s leadership. Making a speech at the event, NovruzGuliyev, corresponding member of ANAS talked about her social, scientific and pedagogical activity as well as work experience. He expressed confidence that her work as a leader will bring success to the Institute. Employees of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS Khalil Gasimov, D.Sc., prof. EldarNovruzov, D.Sc., NaibaMehdiyeva, PhD in Biology, ReshadSelimov congratulated S.Ibadullayeva with her new appointment and wished her success in her new post. Speaking in the end,acting director of the Institute, prof. SayyaraIbadullayevagreeted the staff and expressed her deep gratitude to academician RamizMehdiyev, President of ANAS for the confidence shown to her, stressing that she will work hard to fulfill duties as a head of the Institute.
